Physix Privacy Statement

This privacy statement contains information on how we protect and use your personal data. This statement is drawn up in accordance with the new privacy regulations (GDPR) and was most recently revised in May 2018.

This is the privacy statement of Physix by Vogel’s (hereafter “Physix”).

At Physix, we place a high value on security and privacy. Therefore, we always act in compliance with the relevant rules and regulations. We are responsible for processing personal data on this website, as described in this privacy statement.

Personal data that we process

To enable you to make use of our services, we need certain personal data from you. The following is an overview of the personal data we process:

  • First name and surname

  • E-mail address

  • Time and duration of visit

Sensitive personal data we process

It is not our intention to collect data from website visitors below the age of 16 through our website and/or service. Unless they have the consent of a parent or guardian. However, we are not able to verify whether a visitor is over 16 years of age. We recommend that parents monitor the online activities of their children, to ensure that no data on children is collected without parental consent.

Purpose and legal basis for processing personal data

Physix processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • First name and surname, address, telephone number and e-mail address:
    • To communicate with you (including sending messages or calling by phone) about providing our services and if questions arise on our products or services
    • To inform you about changes to our services and products
    • To measure your satisfaction with our products or services through our consumer care department
  • Physix website visit, IP address, click behaviour, details of your computer, duration and time of your visit, app use:
    • To improve your personal online experience on our website
    • To tailor our communications to your wishes and preferences

How long we store your personal data

Physix stores your personal data no longer than it is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your data were collected.

The time limit for storing the personal data below is the minimum period that is necessary to provide the service in question:

  • First name and surname
  • Address
  • Telephone number
  • E-mail address

We delete the information below, which could be traced back to a particular person, after 26 months:

  • IP address
  • Details on your activities on our website or in apps
  • Click behaviour
  • Details of your computer
  • Time and duration of visit

Sharing personal data with third parties

Physix does not sell your personal data to third parties and only provides personal data if this is necessary to fulfil an agreement or if we are legally required to do so. In such cases, the following parties may be involved: distribution partners and IT service partners. We make agreements with companies that process your personal data on our behalf, to ensure the same level of security and privacy of your data. Physix remains responsible for the processing of your data.

Cookies or other, similar techniques we use

Physix makes use of functional, analytical and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit our website. Physix uses cookies with a purely technical functionality. These cookies ensure that the website functions properly and that your personal settings are remembered, for example. These cookies are also used to optimise the website. We also use cookies that track your surfing behaviour, so that we can offer tailored content and advertising. When you first visit our website, we inform you about these cookies and we ask your permission to use them. You can block the use of cookies by changing your browser settings. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect data and receive reports on how visitors use Physix website and the effectiveness of our Google Adwords advertising. This information, including the address of your computer (IP address), is transferred to a Google server and stored by Google in the United States. Physix entered into a data processing agreement with Google Analytics on 4 June 2018.

Google uses the information to analyse how Physix website is used, to generate reports on the website for us and to provide advertisers with information on the effectiveness of their campaigns. Google may share this information with third parties if Google is legally required to do so or insofar as these third parties process this information on behalf of Google. We have no influence over this.

Accessing, amending or removing data

You have the right to access, amend or remove your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data, to object to the processing of your personal data by Physix and to have your data transferred. This means that you may request us to send the personal data we hold in a computer file to you or to an organisation of your choice. You can send your request to access, amend, remove or transfer your personal data, to withdraw your permission or to object to the processing of your personal data, to consumercare@vogels.com. We may request additional information from you to verify your identity. We will respond to your request as soon as possible and within a maximum of four weeks. Physix would also like to inform you that you have the option to file a complaint with the local regulatory authority.

Do we make automated decisions?

Physix does not make decisions based on automated processes (without human intervention) on matters that may have (considerable) consequences for you. This concerns decisions made by computer programmes or computer systems without human intervention (for instance by an employee of Physix).

How we secure personal data

Physix takes the protection of your personal data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, improper disclosure and unauthorised changes.

We make use of a firewall and encryption methods to prevent access to personal data by unauthorised third parties. The user data is stored at locations that are both physically and technically secure. Only a select group of employees has access to customer data, based on their job profile. Every year, external specialists perform a security check, so we can guarantee the continued security of personal data. Also, Physix always uses a secure TLS/SSL connection when processing orders and sending contact forms.
